Fiber Craft Studio Workshop at Studio
Sewn Felt Slipper with Locally Sourced Felt
Sunday, May 2, 2021
10am - 1pm
$60 includes all materials

We will make a hand sewn wool felt slipper that can be made for child or adult, using a pattern based on tracing the foot. The resulting slipper is a lightweight slip-on, perfect as a travel slipper or for indoor wear.

What will make this project special is the local made felt, sourced from the Cornwall Yarn Shop, in Cornwall, NY. The felt comes in shades of brown, grey or white, made from leftover wool fiber from the Battenkill Fiber Mill in Greenwich, NY. It is thick and durable and we can be glad we are making slippers for ourselves without a large global footprint!

We will spend time cutting and sewing, with the plan of completing one slipper.
